This video is a good start. I wet sand mine 400 up to 1500 grit then buff. Results are very good. Take your time and wear face shield and gloves.

I've tried different products, but POR-15 Manifold dressing seems to be the best I've used. Prep the surface by bead blast and prepsol is key to good results. First picture blasted and 2nd por-15 applied.

A friend of mine used a length of pvc pipe and capped one end. Soaked the drive shaft in evaporust overnight in the pipe and scrubbed it. Repeated as necessary until rust was gone. He painted it with gloss black engine paint, I believe. Looked really nice.

Try 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and distilled water in a spray bottle. Rub it in with towel and will get rid of all wax and water marks. Rinse with water and dry. Then wax car. It works for me.
