    [WANTED] '66 Barracuda trunk part

Looks like another fragile part I'd have my local fabricator (Custom Kitchen Equipment) make from food-grade stainless steel (like my glove box liner).

[Found!] Early Barracuda Sway Bar Help

I just painted and re-installed my factory '65 sway bar (I previously retrofitted some aftermarket rubber bushings that fit under the brackets on the K-Frame):

    [WANTED] Voltage Regulator Cover

"Do not short any terminals to ground" is what is stamped on the old-style voltage regulators. I am about to reinstall mine on a freshly painted firewall. Does anyone know for sure (please, no guessing) whether or not the regulator mounting tabs/screws need to ground on the firewall? Thank you.

[WANTED] Breather Hose - 273 HP CAP

I might be mistaken, but my interpretation of part #246564 is for the valve cover breather with hose fitting and not the hose itself. The manual calls it a "cap" not a "hose". It is used on Belvedere, Fury, Coronet, Polara, Valiant, and Dart (not listed for Imperial).

[WANTED] PS Pump for 66 Valiant slant 6

If worse comes to worse, one can adapt the large return line on the steering to a pump with a small return line; see photo (like a previous owner did to my '65 Barracuda). I am not recommending this, but it seems to work. The return line is not under a lot of pressure. I installed an inline...

[WANTED] Power Steering Bracket ('65 small block)

On second look, I believe that set-up you pictured in post #2 is for a TRW pump with the more pronounce notch. My little notch pump looks to be a Federal.

I'll look into that, thank you.

[WANTED] Power Steering Bracket ('65 small block)

Can anyone please show photos of the proper orientation of the two brackets attached to a p/s pump (maybe even off the vehicle)? It's hard to get a handle on what holes serve what fasteners, my "spatial" skills are probably not all that great. Never caught on to those special knots Dad was...

[WANTED] Power Steering Bracket ('65 small block)

You may be correct, I'm not sure I see any difference in the pulley, however.

[WANTED] Power Steering Bracket ('65 small block)

That must be it, yes. Never seen both pieces together in person before. Somehow or other things didn't fall apart using just one of the brackets (have about 2,000 miles on the motor). These two fotos are what I am working with here at home:

[WANTED] Power Steering Bracket ('65 small block)

Listed in FSM as 1945384 power steering bracket. I have seen it superseded as 2946737 and called an idler pulley bracket. I don't know if the two parts are the same part or not. Even if a different design, the 737 might work (I have not seen one yet). By the way, 1945384 is actually a 2 piece...

    [WANTED] '64-'66 Barracuda Trunk Hinge

I'll look around. I don't know what the origin of the trunk hinge problem is, mine were-one side broken and one side rusted solid. A failed design from the beginning for something that looks so simple, just like any other household door hinge. Weird.

[Found!] Forged 340 Crankshaft (ship to me in Mexico)

Here is the crank that was take from the "core" 340 I purchased "complete." No drilling in the rod journals, no Mallory metal that I can see, no part number, and lightning holes drilled on both front and rear counterweight (2 + 2).

[Found!] Forged 340 Crankshaft (ship to me in Mexico)

Like I said in post #4, the present weight of the pistons, pins, and connecting rods appear to be factory 340 weights. But I will double check that on a gram scale again. I don't see any welding or Mallory metal on the crankshaft. The motor was a hodgepodge to begin with: two passenger side...

[Found!] Forged 340 Crankshaft (ship to me in Mexico)

Would I be able to see the Mallory metal on the crankshaft with the naked eye if it had some added for balancing in the past?

[Found!] Forged 340 Crankshaft (ship to me in Mexico)

It has .040 over stock cast replacement pistons with four valve notches. I don't see that the 340 pistons have been machined for any balancing to another crank, same for the 340 connecting rods, but something to consider. I can weigh them again on a gram scale at the Mom and Pop shop across the...

[Found!] Forged 340 Crankshaft (ship to me in Mexico)

The core 340 I purchased has a 318 forged crankshaft. I have no idea if the factory stock rotating assembly has been balanced/re-balanced to this 318 crankshaft. The closest location I know of to balance my parts is about 1000 miles away in San Diego, so I have decided to search/find/purchase a...

[WANTED] Early Abody front sway bar bushing

I could not find any matching the originals so I used aftermarket 13/16 inch bushings. Open the bottom of the factory bracket by cutting off the factory welds. Cut off the mounting tabs of the aftermarket bracket and spot weld it inside the factory bracket without the tabs (which you can...

[WANTED] 340 small block valve covers

Oh, wait, maybe not, I just read thru this thread again and see that other wire loom guide in the center of one of the valve covers, mine don't have that piece. I guess none of these valve covers have any part numbers stamped on 'em either.

[WANTED] 340 small block valve covers

Not sure, I think these may be genuine 340 valve covers? Of course, every pair I have ever seen has had at least one corner of the bolt area split open, these are no exception. Must be a remedy?

    [WANTED] 1972 Charcoal Vac Canister.

I think one time I found the charcoal from the canister being sucked into my carb on my '85 Caravan, so be careful when trying to recycle these older ones. That is why I splurged NOS on a '73 canister for my '72.

    [WANTED] 1972 Charcoal Vac Canister.

I just went through this, I believe the '72 and '73 canister versions have a different number of hose connections (3 vs 4). I could not find a '72 version, so went with a '73 (I also found a '73 carburetor which has the proper '73 hose connection in the throttle plate). I hope this helps some.

[Found!] Factory 273 adjustable rocker arms/shafts for 1965 Valiant

"Borrowed" these from my '65 Plymouth Signet convertible for my 340 project and now I can't drive my convertible any longer. The convertible's original 273 is very tired and due for a rebuild. I am just looking for an old set of rockers with shafts that I can throw on there so I can move the car...

[Found!] Is there a 64 cuda dash pad in excellent cond that still exists if so I want it BAD!

Are we talking about that real thin factory pad held on to the very top of the dash by four or five nuts? I just paid $30.00 ($500 pesos) to have my dash pad redone ('65 Formula S). I had the upholster guy help me strip the padding from the little metal framework. I took the frame home, removed...
