How to determine year of 8.75 center section...??

...without disassembly? I am told that carrier bearings come in two sizes: 1.800" for pre 1969 and 2.000" for post 1969. I want to have all parts on hand for a carrier change (to spool) before I take it out and apart if possible. Thanks!

Big Bang Theory, Why is the nose of my Diff pointing straight down...

Wow! It sure does look like it rotated independent of the axle tubes! I've tore up some my fair share of stuff, but have NEVER seen this before! Post some pics of where the tubes are inserted in the center section.

    Trans cooler questions...

I have a Moroso heat sink-type trans cooler and was thinking of using it rather than a traditional cooler. Questions are: Has anyone ran a heat sink type of cooler? Has anyone been successful mounting it (or any cooler) under the car somewhere? I'd really like to not have it up front for...

Wow! Good info, Fishy! I'm liking the idea of that A-500/904 deal! Was going to do a 904 for the mass reduction, anyway. I'll find him and call him. Thanks!

    Power-Lock sure grip...8 3/4??

Anyone ever have one? Looking at a 3.91 center section with one and don't know anything about them. Anyone have anything to tell me?? Looked them up on the 'net and they seem pretty cheap: $150/$180 new. So I'm wondering how they compare to a rebuilt OEM suregrip? Are they reliable, etc...
