    resstoration is a challenge...it doesn't have to be something unusable or delicate, it just makes for a more difficult and sometimes costly build.And driver can go through roof with pricy aftermarket strokers and so on. i'm not a restorer but guys that restore take too much heat.I love to see...

    OK..understood.That treatment can look very nice. I'm old school and i wouldn't spend any money on stainless steel so i wouldn't have that extra expense.

A lot of money can be spent on aftermarket pieces that don't provide much improvement...and are often a step backwards for a street driven car. Stock parts often...

    think "factory production line" If there were any threads or adjustment required it would have been left natural. Lower control arms were dipped in cosmoline (a wax and kerosene compound) most everything else some shade of black

    ...not a fan of scoops.stripes,high in the rear with big back tires and jewelry but for some reason i do like the twin scoops on '70 darts with factory ralley wheels. It's a good thing everybody doesn't like the same things!

    if he is super fussy he'll probably want those pieces replaced with new.But you can make them "nice" by carefully sanding,masking and repainting them with the appropriate blacks and light argent paints.You probably want to stay away from chrome style or aluminum paints...they just don't look...

    i don't think white interior was available in '69...it would have been pearl. ..just make sure you paint the exterior a colour that was available in '69 (for Darts).

    if it's not too late.... i think 68 interior was pearl.I took a similar 68 dart interior out and cleaned it with trailer awning/vinyl cleaner and the results were outstanding.If yours came back like mine you may very well like it.
