It is a new converter install, but I had to pull the converter towards the flexplate to get them to bolt up, indicating it was all the way in the trans.

When you say to have the converter seated all the way back, I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

Checked the ring and pinion backlash today and it is within specs. If I rotate the driveshaft by hand I can hear the clunk, but much quieter, when I rotate it in the reverse direction. Both u joints are new, but the rear one seems to move just a hair. Possible problem with the pinion or u joint...

The pinion yoke rotates, but does not move around in the bore. Is it possible the ring and pinion have too much backlash?

Pulled the driveshaft and the yoke on the end on the trans spins in neutral. Is this normal? Also the clunking noise went away.

I have a 1971 Plymouth Duster with a 225 and 904 and when I put the trans is gear (park or drive), there is a loud metallic clunk the the vehicle kinda jumps. I checked the u-joints and trans mount and they are all fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm rebuilding a 727 and am to the point where I am checking the servos for leaks with air pressure and it seems like the low/reverse servo applies much harder than the kickdown servo. Is this normal? I've replaced the sealing rings and checked their fit and they were fine. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I am looking for an output shaft seal, the one that seals the inside of the drive shaft yoke and sits on the output shaft not the one that is pressed into the extension housing. I've checked multiple online sources but came up with nothing. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
