The color on my 68 Barracuda is a 70's B5 Blue. While I had my engine out, I had the engine bay repainted in a 1969 B5 Blue in PPG waterborne with a "Vivid upgrade". Here are those 2 colors next to each other:

    Shorty headers

Yes, I was excluding manifolds in my last comment as we were talking headers. My bad for not being clear.

    Shorty headers

I agree and disagree with this statement as all headers have their place and purpose. If I were building a race car, then definitely full headers. But for an under 500hp small block street car (Not a TV "street car"), it would not make much of a difference on how you choose. To each their own.

    Shorty headers

I have Hedman ceramic shorties on my 68 Barracuda with PS and A/C. They fit great and look great, the only problem is that they are make your own Y pipe. On the drivers side you need the Hedman style "stacked 4 in a row" because the standard 4 grouped in a square style collector will not clear...

Need some help on paint, Dying for opinions here!

On the early Darts, I have always loved the Pewter type colors. If you look into the newer Ford colors, they have a dark gray with a green type of hew to it. I am also a big fan of mopars newer bronze (copper) metallic color. Really accents the lines on the early A's.

How long do I wait for parts paid for before becoming a dick! ADDED SELLERS NAME !!!

Maybe he intentionally did this. How cool is it that a 727 gets mailed out on 7/27? Just be happy you did not buy a 904. :D

    Tail stripe color

I am going gray to match my wheels. I think it gives it more of a modern pro-touring look, but that is what I am going for.

    Cheap Challenger

My favorite is the "leather seats", that car is barely worth $500.

    Clear powder coat??

    Wouldn't anodizing aluminum work?

    Burnouts and insurance?

I would write a letter to the court requesting a plea reduction. As for the insurance, I would just change insurance companies and they may not notice.

    Fiberglass bolt on hood install.

A friend of mine took the springs right off and then put a bolt with a stud on it in place of the factory hood bolt. Then did the same in the inner fender area. He bolted a set of hydraulic hood lift support shocks from another car to the hood. It seemed to work really nice. It looked good and...

Go wing or No Go wing

I think you just completely described the coolest car I could ever had imagined... but I would definitely put a fart pipe hanging down at a 20 degree slope sticking out past the rear bumper about 6", but that's just me.

    Well, folks, Mamma's wrong again.

Go wing or No Go wing

Actually this would be the very spot to say you do or don't like the wing on his car.... that is exactly what he asked in his original post.

Go wing or No Go wing

Yup, some stink more than others, and some you will eat right up :tongue3:

I am also and was going to post the exact same thing. The cars lines call for low and sleek.

    Pick Out A Hood

I know this thread is a few years old, but I wanted to revive it because there are so many options and custom hooods being made out there. Here is the SRT Hood from US Body Source (Not my car)

Are prices way down on classic muscle right now?

The guy down the road from me just bought this car for $330,000 (plus $33K in fees). They said the value is down on the car now, but projected to go over $500K in value over the next year or so: http://www.rmauctions.com/lots/lot.cfm?lot_id=1063815

    Aftermarket 1970 Dart tail lights

Thanks for the responses. I should have also stated that I have the Digitails LED programmable tail lights. But my lenses are going to break when I take them out. I have taken the screws out and I can't get them to budge at all, like they are glued in there. I am pulling so hard, I can hear the...
