    that cable pull the park paw... there is ajustment at the rear of the trans were the cable goes in.. you must loosin the bolt and pull the cable housing out a little or in to ajust it.... to remove it there is a plug at the bottom of the cover were the cable goes in..you must release the cable...

    the oil pan=no..center sump 360 only motor mounts=no....you didnt say if the 273 came out of the early a..if it did the exaust minfolds will fit...but why...too small try dougs headers ..fit like a glove 909 788 4878...again if the 273 came out of the early a than you can use the 273...

    if i were you i would build the 340... its going to be cheeper and more parts avilable.. . you will be able to run a better (more dir and lift) cam ..better manifold.i think you said you also have a pair of j heads ,if so you could realy make some hp..use the 273 rockers .i use them on my race...

    Wiring help please

    yes the battery wire goes to the starter first and then to the relay. the other post on the starter is for the exciter wire it also go to the relay to the slip ring post. there is also a green wire that comes fgom the neutral safety switch that goes on the slip on spade connecter on the top left...
