    B-1 BA small block heads

    Rumblefish360 the intake is standard. The valves are 2:08/1:60 exhaust ports are D shaped with standard bolt pattern, Koffels place said use standard headers but cut the tie bar between the ports for spark plugs. They are raised heads. Not sure on flow numbers. No porting just intake port match.

    Just wondering what a set of B-1 BA heads are worth. They would come with 1.5 crane gold roller rockers, M-1 single plane intake, pro systems venom II 950 carb. This stuff was brand new 20yrs ago with only test stand run time at machine shop.

    Engine was rebuilt and 10:1 compression pistons with stock heads. Rear end is stock 7.25 not sure on gear. Non sure grip. Second cam mentioned is in the engine. Sounds like he is going to need a converter and rear end with some gear.

    Yes from what I’m reading both cams are to big. My son is going to be driving it everyday. And we all know how a teenager drives when out of site. He already thinks he is a race car driver. Don’t want to give him too much.

    Engine is a 73 10-1 compression stock heads. Stock crank. Rods, currently has a comp cam. Lift is 474/473 Duration 284/296 Centerline 106 Lobe separation 110 Advance 0* RPM 2200/6000 Stock converter and gears in a 1979 F body. Car is my 17year old sons that we are building for him

    I bought a TRW cam a few years ago and I can’t find the cam card. The numbers on the end are. 2K157 then below that 153. The part # on the box is TP156

    Do not use there springs or valves. buy the bare castings. you will be much happier in the long run. Don't ask me how I know.

    Thank you guy's, As soon as the weather straitens out I'm going to pick it up. I will just see what it runs in the spring when the tracks open up so I can do some fine tuning on it. First thing will be to put the mechanical advance back in it.

    Engine builder locked my distributor out. He said it wouldn't idle with the springs in it. It will be a track/street car. Oil is Joe Gibbs break in oil, not sure on weight. I'm going to take it to Mike @ MRL something just don't feel right. Should have just done that to begin with.

    Timing is at 38, Headers where 1 7/8, fuel was 110 torco race fuel.

    Well Numbers are finally in and I'm very disappointed with it. 501hp/480 torque all in @ 6300. I was so pissed at the engine builder I left without the dyno sheet.

    What is gained by degreeing a cam. Please explain this to me. How much horse power will be lost by not doing it.

    Depends on what is included. If it is intake to pan that is a screaming deal. Find out what the internals are if it's a high compression motor with a cast crank you don't want it. I have 12000.00 in my 408 build.

    '71 340 balancer with forged crank

    My 71 360 has that same balancer on it and I believe it is also a forged crank. wonder if that's why it spun a bearing.

    This the closest they have in a roller from lunati Solid Roller Cam. Good cam for Pro Street or mild bracket racing applications. Works well in 360+ c.i. motors. Needs 3500+ RPM stall converter, headers, 10.5:1+ compression ratio and 4.56+ gearing. Rough idle. Advertised Duration...
