I see why you could'nt get the bar out. No one mentioned the retainer clip in the rear of the socket that has to be removed to get the bar out. I see it in you final picture!

I agree that hinge pin and bushing kit will fix the problem. But its definatly not an easy do it yourself task. I did mine but had to remove the door and a lot can go wrong paint chipping wise in a hurry. Good luck!

Ok guys, Both my front windows are in serious need of some tlc. Where can I find new window felts, and regulator rollers?

Sounds like one of the rivet type pivot pins in bound up. You'll probably have to remove the hinge and apply heat and lube to the pin to free it up. Just my 2cents
