Just buy a piece of line 3/16 x12 and bent it accordingly , the fittings are on it , inverted nuts . 1972 would not have anything metric on it.

Those are anti rattle clips, looks like Chebby to me though.

Thanks guys , i think i am going this way .And if i take it off , might a well change it rather than try and paint or clear , plus trying to get rid of the fluid to paint would be time , so i will have a new one ready to go on .

I installed a new cast master cylinder on my 73 dart sport last summer , and cannot keep it from surface rusting , steady cleaning it off .How many are using the plastic type cylinders , and what to use when going from 2 bolt to 4 bolt .Pics would be greatly appreciated .Thanks alot.

Actually i had to put new elastics in last year , rattle was gone after .And pads were like new .

I always bend the retainers a bit to put more tension on the caliper it self and use much larger rubber elastics , if you do not use the rubbers the calipers will rattle like crap.

Find a 73 to 76 dart sport, duster, get everything off the front, and as far as rear end depends how much horse power , why not go with an 81/4 then you have matching bolt pattern front and rear .If you sold the 83/4 you would have enough to buy everything you need , and money to boot i bet.

I just had mine off to paint and install new master cylinder, order the proper decal for it , mine is number three , the car is a 73 dart sport 340 and i have excellent brakes .

I purchased one also , the bolt is bent like that on mine also, but works just fine.
