It's not about the heli coil, I don't think anyone's arguing it's not better than threaded aluminum. I think what the problem with people being hesitant about used parts that have heli coils is if it was done right. You can't tell from a pic most times and I've seen some pretty bad heli coil...

I agree when they are done right but I have seen a few done wrong/crooked, maybe that's where the hesitation come from.

Now that you mention it I believe it said 99 when I tipped the sending unit upside down, and 1 when upright/full. I never see that in the car since it's never 100% full or empty, only seen the "teens" a few times.

Maybe I misunderstood, mine doesn't read like that it just reads 0 when full or 100 when empty, I have a fuel cell so its really easy to check and its very accurate.

Make it three, at first I thought it was not accurate until I realized it was reading opposite, I couldn't correct it but I got used to it. it's extremely accurate but istead of showing me I'm 90% full I'm 90% empty lol.

Agree, to me it seems like those early models are/were the "true" amx's but I have to admit I'm a bigger fan of the 71-74's, just love the crazy swoopy lines and the big cowl hoods. Guess that's why I have a cowl on my dart.:D

That is correct for the early models but the 71-74 are just javelins with the amx option (same body).

My wife always wanted a 71 amx and after buying her one and building it with her (she did a ton of work) I really grew to like amc's. they did have allot of cheesy stuff but allot of good too just like any brand I've dealt with. This is her amx with my old duster in the background at a car show...

Very happy with the ptc converters. It's not an 8" but my buddy has a 9.5 in a full weight dart, 3.23s and a 27" tall tire and drives like it's stock. Years ago that would have been impossible to do with that gear/tire.
