Crank it with a spare spark plug put in the wire and see how strong the spark is and verify the timing also when cranking. If spark is strong, give it a few extra pumps of gas and see if it's just thirsty when starting.

Some engines are just different on cold starts. If the accelerator pump is working correctly, some engines take maybe 1 or 2 pumps of fuel before starting and others may take 3 to 5 pumps. And once running, if it starts running richer than at first, it's building up ice on the throttle blades...

If moisture was a concern, once the top is put on then remove the bung and stick a hose to the bottom and run nitrogen into it for a few minutes and reseal.

Possible compression check too if it is/was timing belt as valves may have gotten bent. I went through the belt breakage BS on my 04 Pacifica....

Clean the idle air control solenoid and the throttle blade with good carb cleaner. May not be the direct issue, but WILL make it better if gummed up. Any codes? Disconnect battery in case computer had brainfart? (get codes pulled first) Hold gas pedal to floor to get started and clean unburned...

Driving and carshowing! It had it's first evening carshow last night (since replacing wiring harness, upgrading exhaust manifolds and new full length exhaust) and all the lights are great minus the alternator crap of battery volts at idle and quick fluttering of needle around 14V all with lights...

Ive had that sound before and it was a cracked flex plate. Sometimes sounding like a rattle and other times a chirping....

I stopped in to check out the ship and everything else in the huge yard about 2 yrs ago on way to do hurricane flood repairs on railcars at Stolthaven by N.O. LA. It was a very nice way to relax for about 2 hrs. :supz: Very nice cars!
