IMO paint the roof like you would the car.the vinyl will let some moister through that's why the factory vinyl top cars rusted plus they did a terrible job prepping the primer surface.If you wouldn't drive around with just primer on the rest of the car for years I wouldn't short change the roof.

I'm running a stock 6 pack setup on my 1970 dart which should be basically the hood.And it fits with the stock drop breather.The breather comes to the front of the intake and still fits.Keep in mind the hood has a 2 inch rise in the center so you can fit a lot under there.

V02 is a two tone paint treatment.May be in conjunction with V2x which is vinyl trim but no vinyl just painted top or may be the black 340 wedge hood? Just found V20 is a halo partial vinyl roof so it may have been stamped backwards.It happened alot.

Just take your time its really not that hard and also remember the windshield is not temped "like" the back its glued together with a film between the halves.The back is temped so its harder to break.

If you decide to add the trim,which is the easiest way to fix the problem,you can drill the holes in the door.I can get the measurements off my dart swinger if you need them.the clips slide so its not an exact science.I don't know for fact but you should be able to find the trim.

My 70 dart has those hole from back glass to the vent window.They hold a chrome strip on.Maybe the doors were replaced with none trim doors.

thanks for that info,it sure seems like a hugh gap like 3/8" on the drivers side.It does look like its in line with the seam seal.I tried to hit it thinking it was just sheet metal and I could bend it up alittle but it is solid,it wouldn't move any.Guess I'll have to double up on the seal.

The vent area in front of the windshield lets water drain down to the sides and down the inner fender.If that "floor" in there has a rust hole somewhere or where the vent hosing comes down into the passenger compartment,the top has about an inch lip around it,could it be coming in from those places?

That kit didnt come with the gas gauge and hook ups.If your going to jump into gas check tractor supply company.They have 110v welders with the gauges,it may be cheaper to buy a complete unit than to add the gas setup to that one. But don't let anybody spend your money for you get what you want...
