    Mopar Tow Rigs

My tow rig/daily driver. 2001 2500 5.9 auto. It kinda struggles with anything over 12k. Dump trailer weighs almost 6K. I usually haul about 5 ton of rock. This Cletrac weighs about 8,500. They’re not rated for much. POS 47re. But it’s all I’ve got. Ready for something a little bit newer.

Absolutely not a good fit for the duster. An old power wagon sure. Not a car.

    45 bucks for wiper blades?

Dude! I just went through that for my 2001 ram a couple days ago. They take a 20 inch blade. $50 damn dollars for a set of mid grade. Holy ****. Unbelievable.

I’m actually amazed they paid you! I’d buy a big fat carne asada burrito, no beans and a bottle of coke. Lunch on them!

    Super Bowl who ya' like??

I think, like most things, the winner is already predetermined…. It’s all overplayed on social media, so it’d be nice for both teams to lose so everyone can STFU. But being from the liberal state of commiefornia, I guess I’ll have to go along with everyone here and root for the 40 whiners...

    Working out in the winter

In all honesty I should work out a little. More water and less sugar!! I eat the **** out of sugary snacks, gummies, candies, chocolate. Can’t help it. Not in my 20’s no more. Lol. 2 years left of my 30’s and I feel it.

Projects you have on the list but keep putting off....

I need to find a disc drum prop valve, mount it on the frame, and make a couple brake lines. Then I can drop the engine in, put the bed on, install the fuel cell in the bed so I can run the fuel lines. Once I have the placement of the fuel cell in the bed I can drill for 2 bulkhead fittings...

Trailer deck preference: wood or diamond plate?

That is a 1945 Cletrac BGS. 6 cylinder Hercules gas engine. I did a lot of work to it. But I sold it, to pay for 1/3 of my new shop.

Trailer deck preference: wood or diamond plate?

So that was the first one I got, 20ft wide X 25ft deep. It’s not really a shop, more just a 3 sided enclosed carport, set on railroad ties. I leveled an area and put a gravel floor. Something to park my tractors under & out of the sun mostly. But it proved to be too small and filled up quickly...

Trailer deck preference: wood or diamond plate?

I like a wood deck trailer. I had an all steel Diamond plate tilt deck trailer once, and I usually had to lay down plywood when I loaded my crawler. This picture is the one time I didn’t, but I wasn’t going far.

Summit brand smallblock rods Any good

When I had the rods resized in my 360 by a local machine shop, he charged me 11 dollars a rod plus the price of ARP rod bolts. About $200 bucks out the door. They still were a pressed pin rod. I think I prefer a floating pin like the 340’s were. I probably shoulda had a set of 340 rods...

    What will you do

The ranch is testing a Monarch tractor. It’s a company based in California. It’s smaller utility tractor. There’s a Polaris Zero UTV I see the AG guys use out there. They much prefer the Kubota RTV

    What will you do

It ain’t happening. I’m in the transportation industry and work on a major farming ranch. We have an electric tractor. It’s NOT working out well. Even our electric side by sides are bullshit. Our old Kawasaki Mules just keep on going. I’ve been a tow truck driver for 15 years, ain’t no way no...

what are you watching on utube?

I watch, yes…. uncle Tony. I watch Neil from Messicks farm equipment. AVe once in a while. Itchy boots is another good one she rides all over the world on a motorcycle. And pretty much anything about trailers, dump trailers, goosenecks, and hauling/transporting tractors and equipment.
