    calipers are reversed. left on right...right on left. the bleeder needs to be "up" in order for it to work.

    confusion over distrobution/proportioning block

    I had this with a Durango once. turned out a bad rear wheel cyl cup was allowing air in, sometimes but never leaked. inside the rear drums was dry and dusty, no sign of fluid. Replaced both rear wheel cylinders and it never happened again!!

    push rod for two stage

    You guys make too much out of this. remove MC nuts and pull MC off of the studs so they are NOT lined up with the holes in the MC. Go inside the car and pull back on the brake pedal. Rod comes out.

    Brakes won’t ‘hold’

    I set my line lock up with a 3 way switch using the output side of the horn relay. switch up, horn. switch down, line lock. pull thru bleach box, set brakes hard, hold horn button. release brakes, apply gas, release horn button when you see smoke. easy and "invisible"!!

    That is the factory proportioning valve with the sender for the brake warning light on the dash. I would eliminate it.

    Strange brake prob.

    unbolt the master from the firewall(booster?) if the brakes release the pushrod is too long.if not,open a bleeder on one of the wheels that is locked up.if only that wheel releases,bad hoses. if they both release the relief port in the master is blocked. hope this helps, Chuck

    Could'nt tell if your brakes are power or not. If manual,Your not using semi metallic pads are you? They will NOT stop untill VERY hot!! and then not very well!! Ford actually had a service bulliten on this in th 80's on escorts,rangers and mustangs saying not to put mettallics on manual...
