One last thing to note is if you are lookin ginto a SB, or BB V8. The information above is good for a SB, but a BB, is a bit more tricky with some added expenses.

the Duster that you found....Reguardless of what swap you want to do, Just be sure that it is a really solod car. Body, and sheet metal repairs are the worst, and can kill any expenses for any typ of dream one might have. Phil

It's all relativly easy. All parts are pretty much bolt and go. as for the disc brakes and rear end and all that other stuff. It all depends what V8 you are putting in it, how you want to drive it and what your plans are. There were lots of cars that came with V8's manual drumbs, abd NOT...

I agree with that too. 1973 goes into the center link from the top, and 1970 goes in from the bottom..or vice verca. Phil

My 1970 /6 duster had a 1973 stearing linkage put onto it. the only difference was the Idler arm. The Pittman should fit. But it may depend from car to car. Sometimes you can't go by what the book says because someonetold me that Chrysler used whatever they could to keep cars coming off the...

going by what most people say...No, /6 will work. i would just put it in, and see if it is going to be an issue, then deal with it. with a nig block, it would be an issue, but suposidly a small block it isn't. But I had people tell me that it wouldn't be an issue with a big block either. Phil

definatly the best response, and 100% corect. that is the diff on my 1970 and 1973 stearing linkage. I just didn't want to typ it by memory. so therefor there IS a different center link with those years. but I guess they are NOt different than /6 to v8 for the same year.

But I would like to add, that if they are the same like I had quoted above, Than Why was mine different???? I don't think that they are the same. I even had a guy with the parts book with the all the car parts and part numbers tell me that they are the same, the deffinatly were not. Phil

allready corrected read above. Nope, the 1970 NONE SPOOL K frame is still in the car, and being used with a 1973 stearing linkage

I have a 187 oil pan on it, and I still needed to change it.

I don't know, but I had to change my /6 center link and idler/piman arms on my 1970 duster with a center link and idler are and a pitman arm from a 1973 dart. If I didn't switch them I wouldn't be able to turn to the right because it would hit the oil pan. this was a big debate on my thread...

for only a $3 differance, Just go with the one you have been refered to allready. I have a re location kit in my car, but I did not install it, nor do I have it driving, so I don't know how it is. I can look up the brand, but I don't have any comments about it. I guess I'll just leave it at...
