electric or manual high volume fuel pump

personally I prefer mech pumps on mild to moderate carbed street cars. Like you said elec's are noisy as hell, even the quiet ones!!!

need a fuel pump to replace stocker...

mild/moderate 318 but I've upgraded my entire system to 3/8 line (thanks all for help with the fuel return setup). The stock pump is 5/16 so that ain't happening. The only thing I've found is Eddy's replacement for $137.00. I don't need a race pump as this is a street car. Whats out there...

Ideas on running a fuel return line

my "plan" :poke: was to use the original feed as the return as I have already ran a new 3/8 line from the tank to the pump. I got a new sending unit that is 3/8 feed so I'll run a hose from the old feed to the return on the new sending unit. I guess I'll cap off the other tank line that ran to...

    750 Edelbrock on a mild 400??

a 750 should be fine for a mild app like yours. I've seen them put up some good numbers when rodded and jetted correctly. Did you "read" your plugs? No bogging? no lean out? If all is good, all is good. If you go dual exhaust it has been my experience that somehow the reduction of...

    E 85 Anyone

yup... yup again... personally I see E85 as an alternative to race gas for 12+ comp. racers. I wouldn't go E85 for a driver, but thats just me.

    advise on E30 ethanol

I would think if it performed well on 93 octane that going to E30 which is 95 octane shouldn't be a problem being your system is already set up for the corrosive(?) effects of alcohol. I would run it.

    advise on E30 ethanol

will your rubber & plastic parts survive the effects of the alcohol? E30 has way less moonshine in it than 85 but is it still enough to mess with rubber and plastic? Good question. E30 is 95 octane so from an octane point you'll be fine. I'd step up a couple of jet sizes and then check if I'm...

Ideas on running a fuel return line

here's the layout, 72 Duster with a mild 318 replacing the slant 6 (had charcoal canister which is long gone) new tank and sending unit with a 3/8 out and 5/16 in, eddy 1406 carb and a stock style replacement fuel pump.
