Is there such a thing as a different switch for power brakes. The mechanic converting my car to power discs said the old switch was to short for the new power set up.

Finally got them off with a combination of heat and blunt force.....thanks for the input.

I'm removing all of the old brake hardware from the 8 1/4 I picked up and while trying to remove one of the bolts from the wheel cylinder I stripped the ridges off the bolt head. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

Yes, it works well. It's not the same thickness of rubber but it does the job.

There is an emergency cable hanging off the back. Not sure what the spring nails look like. This is my first go round with drums.

I picked up an 8 1/4 rear from a junkyard this weekend. I've gotten the drum off of one side but after an hour of working the other with a hammer and chisel it remains frozen. Any suggestions or tricks?

I was talking to my mechanic today about mounting the calipers on the rear of the spindle and he had a question. He says the mounting holes for the calipers are on the front of the spindle. Does he need to reverse the spindles.....left to right?

Since I'll be replacing my front drums with discs from a 75 Dart, do I get brake lines for the Dart or the Barracuda?

I just checked under all the grime and definitely brass.

Thanks Dodge 33! I'm looking at the valve that came out of the 75 Dart and it's identical to the valves in the pictures...albeit dirtier. The line ports are the same, mounting bracket, etc.. I don't see any difference, unless the internals are different.
