Fresh EVERYTHING [read $$$$$] That's what makes this so effed-up. When you pay someone $5000 and then they want another $800 for a dynotune, that's BS, at least, I would think he would run the engine.

Mike, I've got those on backorder from Mancini's for weeks. Originally we wanted the adjustable rockers with those locking adjusters and they didn't have them either. Thanks for all the good info

The lifters are Engine Pro HT-2011B for a stock 340, don't know why the shims were used and rockers, shims, adjusters came from Mancini. CompCam push rods 7821-16 7.389"x5/16". Also, the first two rockers a flopping around and I noticed, where i'm pointing, there is a small gap allowing those...

Those first two rockers are flopping around which allowed the pushrod to bend. This motor is for daily driving, never raced, little burnouts here and there. It's got a Sum-6901 Cam, 218/[email protected] .441 Lift, Engine Pro lifters HT-2011B

So I went to a local store that has re-pop pulleys for my application. It's pretty, black, powdercoated and the wrong design. But it'll work. I didn't buy it so I opened up the one hole. It fits perfect and now I have six bolts. What pisses my off, is I ruined a perfect 1972 pulley #3614378...

yes and it was one of those situations where when you rotate it the fifth time and you know the sixth rotation is going to give the same results *&^%(*

I've read before others having this problem. Stock 1970 340, stock vibration dampner and stock 2-groove crank pulley. Only 5 of the 6 holes line up. My in-family Mopar expert says that's not right; either dampner is wrong or pulley. Pulley # 3814378. I can't find if that # is correct for...

So I took this 2780930-340-7 (what the heck does the 7 stand for)stock 2.9.72 built bare block to a local machine shop. Their clean/ shot blasting cleanup is $100 which I thought was fair. He then took a look at the rust and said it would take a lot more. Bore, hone etc. Has anyone started...

I didn't continue to drive it. Once I got it home I parked it and started tearing it apart.

I don't think so. I bought a new Intake gasket set and I would hate to put it all back together and drive it tomorrow and break it badly.
