    340 main caps

    hi, the 340 and 318 caps have same bore dia. the 340 cap is taller compared to 318 cap for windage tray use. however, don't throw the caps away! If you swap caps, main bores have to be align bored. don't align hone!! align honing will not straighten the bore, just hones whats there. plus moves...

    10.90's with a 340

    hi, if you're spinning tires now, with a bigger motor will be worse!! why not fix the suspension first, so the car will dead hook. chassis is ET, MPH is motor. get the car to 60' in very low 1.50 range or lower! tires and gear ratio will help a lot. just for thought, a 340 duster in stock...

    Cleaning valves

    hi, get a bench grinder with a wire wheel on it. this is the easist and best way to clean carbon off. if you knick the stem or valve face with sand paper,you'll mess up the valve.
