ok i thought something was fishy
Thats true, he never said the car was stock, but.....in his words from the site
" The small block! That right its stock and it runs 11.50 in the 1/4 mile @ 117 mph."
He's implying that the engine is stock....and that is quite misleading in my opinion...thats why I said he might be just yanking peoples chain.
hi, it's too bad you have to down grade his car and motor. shame on you!!
in the world of stock elimanater, there is limits on everything!! car has to weigh the shipping weight, no LW parts allowed period!!!!the total wgt with driver has to be. 3400 #. as for the motor, stock heads, manifold, carb, valve sizes, stroke, crank. a stocker motor is highy refined, blueprinted to a gnats ***!!!joe napa does not build stocker motors!!!! it takes a very talented and smart engine builder to squeeze power with a lot of limits to overcome. the only non stock item would be cam, but it has to meet stock lift. any gear ratio and high stall conv allowed. 9" tires max size!! as for HP, he's probably very close to 425. one quote for you, warren johnson, stated ,stock elim is the toughest requires very good engine builder to get the power from those motors. he has a lot of respect for their talent. maybe some of you need to talk to guys running stockers, you might learn something!!! hell. probably not, you already know it all anyway.
hi, it's not a misuse , it's still a stocker, period. i see guys on here with strokers, and headers, s/s springs after market parts, callin their stuff stock!!
NHRA stockers are more stock than most other cars here!!! why don't you .crackedback, build a stock and see how fast it goes, then you can poor mouth people. you haven't the foggiest notion about what it takes to get a stocker to go fast. i run a stocker 340, so don't blow smoke up my tail pipe.
mine has ran 11,40's @ 116 MPH. and it]s way more stock than some of these cars on here.
