    What size battery ?

AAA batteries 3yr free replacement 3yr pro rated. Made in PA. (see link) Sears has been trying to get them to make batteries for them for a while. It just started happening. They also make the replacement batteries branded for Mercedes Benz. http://www.dekabatteries.com/

Please explain what I think these are.

IIRC one is for the turn signal, one for 4 way hazards.

Believe in the GM HEI ignition now?

I kinda like the first sound better. My 2 cents. But if it runs better now that's what counts! My car sounds like the first except more lope and there's no lack of power/response.

    Spark plug help

I'm trying to find a set of plugs to replace the ones in my car. I'm looking for the same heat range as I have they are a nice light tan color. I don't know how long they've been in there, I'm guessing at least a couple/few years. I'd just like to have a new set. The problem is they are...

    Not so bright !

One of the members here makes a nice headlight relay kit that members have said makes dash lights brighter by reducing the load on electrical system. But I'd say check bulbs first.

    High volts

Just checked with another mm (not digital, old needle type) batt showing just under 14v, now charging around 17v, gauge reading little higher than 3/4. Tried dmm again batt 12.4v charging 14.4. So looks like the old mm isn't any good. Gonna try battery swap, see what happens.

Had that done already, checked good. The only thing they found was a slightly low starter amp draw 11.97 v ? Haven't been driving it for fear of burning something up.

    High volts

Ok got a nice day here so dmm reads 14.3-14.4 at battery with car running. The gauge is reading 3/4 up. I still have 3-4 shitty butt spliced connections that have to get redone/soldered that I haven't gotten to.

    High volts

One of my biggest problems is that this is daily transportation and I don't think its safe to drive as is. After I replaced the vr it was charging 15.4 just above middle on gague. After a little driving now gague is almost pinned again.

    High volts

I stripped all the electrical tape off the wires that run fron the bulkhead connector over to the vr and alt. The po must have had a problem as i could see that there had been a melted wire in there. It was replaced without going thru plug junction at back ot the motor. It runs to the right side...

I was just looking on year one to see if they had a plug and play engine harness to fit a 74' slanty swinger but nothing listed. Couldn't find one anywhere else either. Figured if I could get all new ready to go harness it would be better than paying someone one to search, find and replace any...

    Wiper motor wiring help

After closer inspection it does appear that it is just one thin wire. I thought it was a (braid?) and just one piece was left. The insulation is just crumbling so i'll try to wrap it in self fusing tape. the wire is just so thin I don't want to break it.

    Wiper motor wiring help

So no one has opened up the motor housing on a wiper motor? Think I'll have to hit the junkyard today and see if I can get it replaced. It' a dd so the wipers have to work. I can experiment with it later.

    Wiper motor wiring help

Looking around under the hood today and I notice one of the wires coming out of the wiper motor going to the other part is coroded, insulation falling off and there's only 1 strand of wire left making the connection. Did a search and couldn't find anything about taking the motor apart. Is there...

hahah new used car fun. Please help identifying relay and plugs

the plug in second pic with the 2 side by side and one on top is the kind of plug for horn relay, ac/blower mtr switch, rear window defog switch, but none of the wire colors match. I suck at electrical, even with the book in front of me.

hahah new used car fun. Please help identifying relay and plugs

one of those plugs probably go to the blower motor. From what I see brown wire low speed heater blower motor resistor and dark green hi speed. Turn signal flasher is an L plug with black and red wires going to it. manual says turn signal and hazard flasher units are mounted seperately to the...
