    TTI Header install issues

What engine mounts, spool or biscuit? Mine had the 73 K frame w/spool type mounts; right side went right in. I removed the steering column and had to lift the car higher to install the left side. Went in like butter save for a few scratches. Guess I got lucky.

    TTI Rust

I have TTI headers on the Dart for over 10 years. The only rust I see is inside of the collector welds. I polish them regularly and in the PA winter months, I lay 3 mil plastic on the garage floor to minimize the moisture from the concrete. That is TTI's recommendation in their instructions.

    What to paint headers with?

One thing about the Eastwood stuff, you can sand, clean, and reapply whenever needed to cover up troubled spots. It blends right in.

    What to paint headers with?

I used the Eastwood stuff years ago on a set of Hookers. Blasted and cleaned them, brushed on a coat and had a local powder coater bake them in his oven. Repeated a 2nd time. Surprised they lasted 5 years until I sprung for TTI's.

    No More Power Steering...

He never mentioned what type of headers they are. Contrary to your negative comments about long tube headers, I had zero problems installing those total BS headers (TTI's) as you call them.
  29. pntastar69

    Yep gotta get tti s

I had to modify the lower portion of the z-bar arm as it was hitting the tube. A slight bend of the arm and whala!!! I believe there is a special z-bar to order for this application. (TTI's)
