    anybody make there oil pan deeper

    Give me some time and I'll take a pic of the one on the 400 in the garage that came out of my '79 Ramcharger. 12 quarts. The pan is made out of 3/16". No need for skid plates.

    I'd say the first thing you need to do (if you're serious about this) is take a search through this forum and find out from others what they've done to turn a 318 into a butt kicker then start looking at prices for some of the parts through Summit, Jegs, PAW, etc, or maybe your local speed shop...

    flow wise the 906s are just a bit better. But the 452s have the potential with a little work.     400 stroker

    Okay, I ask the question, then which is the better way to go, cutting down the crank or opening up the block. I've heard good answers for both arguments. The 400 sits on the engine stand in my garage, the 440 forged crank next to it, just waiting for the job to come around so I can set this down...
