My daily driver is an 84 4x4 with a 9.25 rear Dana 44 up front and I've abused that truck and I no the 44 r almost bullet proof when built right but it kinda seems hard to find a descent disc setup for both when they r originally drums

on the middle servo my boss told me to leave one of the springs out when i built my 727 to get a firmer shift but i forgot which one it is if i remember correctly its the smaller diamater one but im not sure

you have to remove the band strut in order to get the servo out its a pain to get it out and back in when you get it out look at what way it came out cause to my eyes its a little on the rectangular side

thats actualy what i did except cutting the torqueshaft nd bending the rear rod

idk but i may have had diff parts but everything went in fine and works great

actualy i did a similar swap in my duster and i didnt have a problem i just made sure it was adjusted properly the only problem i had was whoever did the swap from a standard to auto didnt put a clip in on the back side of the frame mount

ive done it with my duster and it has a jr shift kit in it and it was the same

ya ive checked the fluid level in park and neutral and they were both the same level

i agree with j5. ive only rebuilt a couple of 727s and so far no problem with em. since you said you have a shift kit in it and possibly a stage 2 id be careful when it shifts cause i have a reenginering kit in my truck and my duster. when i got my truck back the shifts were hard enough to hit...
