    the housing were too wide.. only realized after i was done with the car.. already painted.. and putting together.. ugh.. this was 2002( i think) anyway.. i cut them and took a section out.. then welded them back together.. that worked for me.. there might be an easier solution.. i don't know...

    i do know that the 67 assembly will not fit into a 68 and would think it would not fit into the 69 (i cloned a 67 into a 68 gts)

    i put 68 lights in my 67 when i changed it over.. so i was very surprised when, after I painted the car and went to assemble it.. the stupid tail lamps didn't fit.. ugh.. I am trying to remember what I did, it was quite some time ago, it will come to me… eventually, ugh, i hate getting old...

    ok i have used goodmark, sherman, and amd. on your mopar, i would prefer AMD, but i will say, i have used AMD on a brand x (gm) car.. and it was horrible. goodmark was good for the brand x

    i just did a vehicle.. i used 1500 wet.. with a bit of dish soap in the bucket of water.. and a sanding sponge.. then i used 3m -3 step process.. cut it, buffed it... polished it.. amazing results..

    I AM A fan of PPG PRODUCTS. just keep in mind that some of the less expensive products are not as durable and will not last long.. its the old pay me now.. or pay me later. i also dont mind using the private label stuff from keystone. its all made by cumberland products..

    epoxy is what i used to put them back together.. to cut them i used a small cut off wheel it was pretty simple.. time consuming yes..

    well the mrs reminded me that i actually did 2 of these cars.. the first one i cut.. and re attatched.. the second car.. i sent her into the trunk with a die grinder to grind away some of the housing on the car. both went well.. at least i didnt lock her in the trunk

    Choosing a Clear for paint?

    i have used the cumberland clears.. they private label stuff for a bunch of jobbers basically the keystone euro clear(high solids) i like the best.. as for primers i am pretty much ppg and the water based paints and clears.
