I would use the A body floor hump, so it would fit the floor. Then add the E-body console and shifter.

I have a CF in my Duster, it's been in there at least 10 years now, I do not really like it, its like a light switch, either on or off. I used a Ram muscle car series in my truck and like it alot better. Currently before long I am putting my Challenger together, and will use a RAM clutch in it.

Might have to with with compression and elevation.

I have that same cam in my Duster and it will idle pretty smooth, 700 rpms pulling around 16 in/hg. This is with a carburetor.

Linkage is stock A body. No issues on operation, the red handle just locks the shifter so it cannot be put into reverse. You can leave it unlocked it just acts like a regular shifter.

Mine is a supershifter III with the reverse lockout.

I bolted mine to the original plate, no trimming required.

Did you happen to take any measurements on the adapter? I have an extra pistol grip I was going to put in my Duster, I remember years ago I put one in another Duster I had and it was un-comfortable, sitting too far forward and low, I had to reach for it.

I would polish it with emery cloth and run it.

Just flip the 3-4 shift lever on the trans, place a 1/4" drill bit in the shifter, and shorten the 3-4 rod. Cut and re-weld the rod, way cheaper than new linkage.
