Another consideration - Driveshaft. 904 should be same length as abody 4-speed w/slip yoke AND will have same slip yoke spline count. So no changes required to drive shaft. 727 will require shortening the drive shaft ( about 4") and different slip yoke.

Ok figured it out. Looks like they are 500g Series Eliminator wheels -- and of course since i'm looking for them, it appears that they have been discontinued. Bummer!

Are you getting them to fit with with stock (non-offset) shackles? How close is the tire bulge to the springs?

I agree. Go with the 904 if you can. I couldn't get my 727 to fit without cutting the top of my tunnel out and welding in a sheet metal cap shaped on an english wheel. What a pain! I also "massaged" the pinch weld. The clearance problem was in the front part of the tunnel. I couldn't get...

Don't forget to get the lower shock mount plates for the 8 3/4 and the 3" tube u-bolts. A set from the 8 1/4 will work too.

I tried to remove my t-bars from my Dart and couldn't get the American Muscle t-bar tool on the t-bar. The only two places where I can even get at the t-bars are: in front of the TTIs just before the LCA - not enough room for the tool to clear the headers, let alone get a hammer blow on...

Update - my driveshaft measured out to be 51" for this combo (65 dart, 340/727 with 8.25 rear) It is in the car an fits perfectly. So there must be something to the idea that the front suspension & trans cross-member shifted forward for the 67 + Thanks everyone for your input. Doug

Bob, Thanks for the info. I sure like th look of the torque thrusts with the rough cast spokes. Tire/wheel fitment can be a pain with stock sized rears on the early darts. Doug
