Had same problem with mine. Took vent cap off, added 18 inch long rubber hose with cheap lawn mower fuel filter on end, attached it to the upper shock mount, line and filter acts as the breather now, no problems. Old off roader trick.

If you are just going to a salvage yard to pick up engine/trans, there are a couple of years where a 318/360 out of a Dakota would work well. Simple efi and overdrive transmission. Not sure of the years, maybe some one else can chime in.

You can also set it for the adjustment, mark it, then torque it and see how far it moves, mark it again. untorque it so the first mark lines up, then back off the adjustment how far it moved forward, so when torqued, will line up again

stroker has more torque so even 3.22 will perform really good

Should be plenty, but he has sticky tires and over 500 ft torque at the rear wheel. Also would there be a vibration issue with that much of the slip yoke sticking out?
