360 Intake with a quadajet carb.

I love a Qjet carb, 389K miles on my DD with only one rebuild, works like a champ, small primarys and large secondaries plus as of a few years ago it never failed an emissions test, dont have to have that done now due to its a 1985. Mine is bone stock factory settings with a big K&N air filter...

POLL: Which is your favorite carb(s) of choice?

I just use a coke can cut in half with a pocket knife held under a bottom float bowl screw and a rag under that so not to stain the intake with fuel

POLL: Which is your favorite carb(s) of choice?

31 years and 378K miles of Daily Driving with just ONE rebuild the Quadrajet on my GM pickup is by far the best carb I have ever had, its not a racing carb by any means (unless running stock classes) but it makes fair power for a stock motor and right now it is working as good as new with the...

POLL: Which is your favorite carb(s) of choice?

Mine is bone stock as is the motor as well with the exception of an alum. intake. I drilled 4 one inch holes in the back side of the air cleaner and use a K&N air filter to make sure it gets all the air the motor wants to pull thru it, the 4 holes was a bit much as you can hear the secondaries a...

    9002S Thermoquad carb

I think thats what this one is, off of a 360 in a 79 truck?? I gave $20 for it just to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. Its a little dusty, some carb spray make it look almost brand new. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/attachment.php?attachmentid=1714771542&stc=1&d=1417323704...

    fuel additives for winter storage?

This crap in Texas has no shelf life, I hear from a reliable source that its designed to eat components up in older cars (fuel pumps etc etc) and not last long enuff to hoard it, preppers are hoarding it, maybe they know something we dont?

    Fuel Leak HELP!

diaphrams most likely, easy to find new ones at most auto parts stores and can buy them seperate, I would change both, dont over tighten the screws but do tighten them up evenly and not one at a time. You will need to readjust the accelerator pump arm.

    850 double pump issues HELP!!

Thats kinda a large carb for that engine, I would start at box stock settings, jets, squirters, pump cams etc. If you have the power valve plugs then yes you need to go up 4 jet sizes at the least for starters. I dont have a holley book with me here at the house so am wondering about the 50cc...

    Vacuum or Mechanical Secondaries?

If its a Holley the general rule of thumb for a stick shift is the vacuum secondaries cause once you floor it you dont lift (racing).

    Holley Idle Screws Not Responsive

I have had to drill holes ( 1/8th) in the primary butterflies to get more air without uncovering the transfer slots, an old Holley handbook trick. Rich fuel condition=too much gas not enuff air.

    Pressure Regulator recommendation

I would go with just the mechanical fuel pump, some of the "muscle car pumps" from Summit advertise around 6 PSI, with no regulator required, which would be plenty.

    holley problem

Where exactly is it leaking from? The boosters? Its common to leak out of the boosters after a rebuild if you put new pump diaphrams in it, they will need to be readjusted if this is the case.

    Quadrajet

    Carb hitting intake...

I knew that was gonna be the problem before I saw the pic, a Holley double pumper will hit there also. Grinding or a carb spacer will fix it.
