How Could I Be So Stupid/Careless?

I found out that my convertible top will self open at 40 mph if it isnt latched. No damage but needed new underwear. I also decided to put the thrust bearing in the front instead of the middle where it belongs. I was able to add another thrust bearing in the middle without pulling the engine.

    Salvage titles

It is this story I am talking about , Where the "person" who possessed the stolen car attempted to get a salvage title by letting a storage bill go into default. The storage company contacted the owner of the car, but before the real owner could get their car from the storage lot the person...

    A Good Day Turned Bad

I had the same thing happen to me, the fuel went between the paint and the car and lifted it off. No booster, just gas. I don't know who painted the car but after that I assumed it was a cheap paint job. Never fixed it and sold the car.

Problems with FCA on a new truck warranty.

Just to clear up a few things, I bought my 08 300c in 09 used with 11k miles on it. I paid cash, I also paid cash for the lifetime warranty, about $3000, from a different dealership in a different state. The warranty has paid for itself a couple of times. AC, radiator, transmission, anti lock...

Problems with FCA on a new truck warranty.

I have a lifetime warranty on my 08 300c, it has recently hit over 110k miles and every repair takes extra time to get approval. Now we are battling over excessive oil consumption. Anything over 1 quarts in 2000 has to be repaired. I took it in because it almost ran dry between oil changes...

Were early A bodies built better than the 67-76 models?

I think there are definitely improvements in the later years, engine compartment size, steering linkage, slip joints, V8's, ignition systems, better brakes. etc etc. But I still like my early A better.

Legal question about Antique vehicles and the seat belt laws

Sorry, I didn't mean to Hijack the conversation, my point was just that with new technology making cars safer, it also makes drivers more reckless, following too closely in wet weather, driving too fast in hazardous conditions etc. and if you are following along in your 60's tech it is easy to...

Legal question about Antique vehicles and the seat belt laws

I cant let this go like this since it is a bit misinformed. In general you want your brakes to stop the car and your tires to hold the road. You want your tires to transfer as much energy to the road as possible. and the best way for then to do this is if they are rolling with the road, and...

Legal question about Antique vehicles and the seat belt laws

So anti lock brakes don't make you stop quicker on a wet road. That is news to me. please tell me how they work then ? I have always assumed they give you as much brakes as the road can handle without causing you to hydroplane

    Valiant Vs. Dart wagon

I think you are going to find that for the most part people who like Plymouth are going to like the Valiant and people who like dodge are going to go for the dart. That being said, I never liked the look of the 66 dart but for some odd reason I like the 66 dart wagon the best of the 3.

Not really impressed with Iridium plugs

It looks like it broke off, and may have done so 10's of thousands of miles ago. there was no evidence of it still being in the cylinder and I didn't think the damage was bad enough to warrant any kind of repair. I guess having 2 plugs per cylinder masked the ill effect of loosing a plug. :)...
