You can make power with any engine. 383 is no exception, I agree. And the 360 needs very, very little to go 12's. I've proven it. I'm there now, with 3.23 gears and the factory stock converter and a smaller cam than a stock 383 commando.

Good news. That's heavy spring is not stretched out. That loop is there on purpose. it causes the advance to slow down around 1600 rpm. That and the slight angle on the plate is all part controlling the curve. The small diameter spring maybe getting a bit stretched and this will effect when...

Leave the header bolts loose enough so u can pull the header away from the block. Then u can thread the bolt in. Kim

It's not odd. Take a look a some other multi-terminal connectors - like the ones on the bulkhead. Unless the vehicle is fully optioned out, some positions have no wires on one side and some positions have no wires or terminals on both sides. Same part used for different purposes saves money...

If it's not a resto, consider splicing in a modern fusebox from a later-model car like a Neon or something. This will give you the blade fuses and some relays to work with.
