    Don't ya hate it when your "brass" fittings get stuck to a magnet?

    Yeah...my brass fittings accidentally got stuck to a magnet. I guess it's my own fault. The shop had sets of fittings in little baggies. They had gold and steel gray. I didn't specifically ask if the "goldtone" was brass. Next time I'm bringing a magnet.

    Wrong flex line?

    Replacing 9" drums with KH 4 piston discs. The flex line i have doesn't fit through the tab welded to the sub frame. The tab and original flex line have a flat spot on one side, I presume it's to keep the line from spinning. The disc brake flex line does not have the flat spot and won't fit...

    Okay...I'm thinking the equal reservoir maybe the right one...if there is no residual valve in the rear port How do I check for a residual valve without destroying the tube seat?

    Do front disc/rear drum master cylinders have a small front reservoir and large reservoir? I am putting KH 4 piston discs on the front of my 1972 Valiant. I ordered front disc/rear drum master cylinder from Rockauto way back when. The one I received has 2 equal reservoirs, but the port sizes...

    Disc brake MC pushrod

    I'm still trudging along on my drum to disc conversion on my 72 Valiant. Switching the 9" drums to 4 piston KH disc. I was about to order a master cylinder and I realized I don't know if the drum master cylinder pushrod is the same. Does anyone know? Manual brakes if that makes a difference.

    Does Scarebird have a customer service dept?

    Has anyone purchased the VAL Wheel Kit from Scarebird? The description on their site is not that informative. Is this everything needed to do the swap?I've tried emailing to no avail. Makes me wonder if I should go a different route...

    what would you pick?

    I want to improve the brakes on my 72 Valiant. No racing, simply for safety. Also, I want to stay with SBP 14" cheapie steel wheels. I am mulling over 10" drums or a Scarebird conversion. Any word of wisdom? Any other suggestions?

    front drums w/o hubs?

    I was looking at replacement front drums and the descriptions often read "drum only - no hub"...Uhm, I kinda always thought the front drum/hub was a single unit. So I guess I need to know how to take the hub uota the drum. Any help?:-k

    9" drums all around...not diggin' it!

    OK...I've got 9" SBP manual drums all around, and it kinda sucks. Is there an easy way to upgrade the fronts without changing control arms, spindles, bolt pattern size? Are there 10" SBP drums? What would I need to do to swap to those?

    5x4 front discs

    Is there an easy way to change 5x4 front discs to 5x4 1/2"? what needs to be changed? spindles? control arms? everything? nothing?
