I started converting to LBP. I have a pair of Yukon axles that both measure 28" from the front of the flange to the spline end. My center section still has the thrust block in it so it looks like I'll be pulling the center section. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

How do you tell if you have a cone type or clutch type? It's off the car and laying in the shop. The repair manual says the clutch type case bolts together. What about the cone type. This one has 2 openings where there are 2 springs on each side.

Does anybody know if there is a longer than stock stud made for Yukon axles? I know there are 3" studs for racing but I don't need all that stud sticking out.

I'm getting ready to pull the tranny and change converters. My question is should I or would there be any advantage to changing to FA type fluid? I've heard that it is better with less slipage. Any thoughts on this?
