    Took these pics of this magnum spring today. Is this a stock spring? Only slightly conical in appearance. Narrower seat width than the r/t spring. The spring seat and valve guide appear unmolested. Also took pics of the locks retainer and valve seal while I was at it. Same seals/locks...

    Nitriding and crank grinding

    Quick question or two here. When grinding a cast crank (say for example a 360 crank to 340 mains) and removing lots of material, can it be nitrided? Or is that just for forged cranks? Is it necessary if possible? He doesn't feel grinding a 360 crank down this far will affect strength, but...

    So I have this 1983 cop 318.Pretty sure the pistons are way down in the bore and with the stock 360 heads it might have 7.5:1 comp.Havent had the heads off yet but will soon. Lookin to raise it when the motor gets redone this winter.What piston will yield the most comp without going over...

    I have a question with regards to the E58.Did it have a windage tray like the E48 318?Was it the same one or different?Could the 318 windage tray be used in a stock stroke 360 or would it need to be spaced downwards due to the extra .27 of stroke? bdee bdee bdee...thats all folks!
