Will a 8 3/4 rear from an E body ('70 Barracuda) fit under an A body ('72 Dart)? The only reason I ask is because I might be able to get my hands on a dirt cheap 8 3/4, but I don't want to drive 3 1/2 hours to Georgia to get it and find out it won't fit.

I got a '69 Dart GT, with a 273/904 combo. There's a warmed up 360 (.60" over) in the works which poses a problem for the 7 1/4" rear. I'd like to get my hands on 8 3/4", but the one's around here are in the clutches of greedy pigs. Any suggestions on a rear that would be relatively easy...

It's got the 904 paired up to the original 273, which is coming out. I'm putting in a 360, .060" over with the magnum head conversion. Should I keep the 904 or the A999 I've got collecting dust. Will there be fitment issues? Performance or streetability problems? What about all around cost...
