    Flex Hone

    What grit flex hone is best for re-ring jobs? I see Flex Hone has 120, 240, 320, 400 and even 600 grit hones, and different materials. I have used the silicon carbide, but I wonder if there's a better way. Thanks in advance

    Eddy heads max lift?

    I know edelbrock says thier springs allow max .575 lift, but with different springs, how much lift can you get? .650 lift before hitting guides? I plan to have them ported, and am looking at cams. Or can you get enough flow at .650 or so to use that much lift?

    LA valve covers

    Suggestions for good , leak free valve covers that would have the breather/oil hole in the front on the drivers side of the engine. Moroso, eddy elite and old Mopar blue stamped aluminum have all been leakers or won't clear hughes roller rockers. What has worked for you?

    AMC lifter in an LA engine

    Comp has a solid lifter p/n 2901 that oils the cam face through a .010 or so hole. It loooks like a good idea for a flat tappet cam, but it also oils the pushrod cup for pushrod oiling the rockers. How do these work on an LA engine? Any oil leakage issues with solid pushrods? Thanks in advance.

    ATI super dampner

    I am about to purchase a ATI super dampner and was wondering if the stock front cover and pulley will bolt up. Catalog says it is .150 thicker but details a little confusing. I don't want to change a whole bunch of stuff just to use the dampner. Any advice?

    valve covers with Sharp rockers

    Does anyone know if the Mopar cast or new Eddy cast valve covers will clear the Harland Sharp rockers? I have been running the stamped Moroso covers, but I don't like anything about them, especially adding oil. Thanks in advance!

    Harmonic Balancers

    For my 408 build, I would like to use a good balancer. I am looking at the ATI & the Fluidamper brands. Anyone have any experience/thoughts on either brand? Do the stock pulleys bolt right up? I know they are both expensive, but I would rather get a good part that will last a few years.

    On a small block oil filter 90* filter adaptor, there is a 3/8 pipe plug. Is that oil IN to the filter or oil IN to the block from the filter?     Accumulators

    I am strongly considering a Moroso accumulator. I have the 90 degree oil filter adapter and there is a 3/8 pipe hole in it. Would that be a good place to plumb the accumulator, or should I use the gauge port on the back of the block? Anyone use one these? I want a little insurance, stock pan & all.

    Top ring end gap

    The little chart the KB pistons sends with the pistons has me figuring the top ring gap at .030". This seems excessive, what top ring gaps are you engine builders using out there for a street/drag engine, 4.030 bore with kb hyper pistons? Maybe I am figuring wrong.
