1/8 to 1/4 and 1/4 to 1/8

I am used to racing on the old 1/4 mile strips. Is there a mathmatical formula to convert 1/4 mile times to 1/8 mile times and 1/8 to 1/4?

There's are a zillion charts on the internet. I think this is the math:

1/4 = (1/8) X 1.55

1/8 = (1/4) / 1.55
