is this too much (read: Stiff) for a street driven 318 duster? They're for sale "nused" for a good price as I can't pay 300 bucks for a pair right now or will my slant 6 ones hold up?

I've run them since 1994 and about 70,000 miles. My only source of transportation for most of that time.

Just because they are bigger diameter doesn't mean they will be "stiff". They will be firm but not harsh. They work very well in a small block car.
