[WANTED] 14x5.5 SBP “Performance wheels”

I am looking for a nice set of four, 14“ x 5.5” A body performance steel wheels. Looking for a complete set of four within reasonable driving distance of Hartford Connecticut. I would probably be willing to drive up to two hours one-way for a nice clean set. Please let me know what you have and be willing to provide pictures and a reasonable description. Unfortunately those are not what I need. I need the 14“ x 5 1/2 steel wheels. Those are just the standard steel wheels. I am still looking. I just bought two but somehow a little switcheroo came about.

No, they seem to be small bolt but they are not 5 1/2 inch wide as they appear to be in the photo. And there are some seriously distinct differences that can’t be explained between the wheel in the picture in the advertisement and the wheels that I received.

Ima thinking, and IIRC,
the only 14x5.5s with SBC , were the Rallys;
which I think came out in 1970; and continued to about the end of 72.
I could be wrong.

Do you like a body performance cars received the 14“ x 5 1/2“ wide steel wheels. They look just like the 4 1/2 inch wide except for the 1 inch dish on the outside.

are they 5.5 BETWEEN the bead seals? or
5.5 across the lips?
If between and 4inch bc, then no; I have never seen those

They are factory 14 x 5.5“ steel wheels. It is stamped on the inside of the wheel. They measure 5 1/2 inches inside the bead seat. Google it and you will see what I am talking about. Typical a body steel wheels were 14“ x 4.5”. Performance cars such as GTS and formula S and Cudas got the 5.5” wide steel wheel. Do you have a set?

The wheels he is seeking preceded Rallye wheels and were available in 67-69 in cars with performance engines or ordered with a handling package

In that case, my 69 FormulaS 340 car should have them. as well as my
68 FormulaS 383 parts shell. I'll have to check them out someday.
