15 inch wheels on early A body pictures

-
The steel wheels are 15x5 with 185/65R15 up front and 15x7 with 255/60R15s out back.

The American Racing Torq-Thrust Originals on the front are 15x5 with 165R15s. The rear wheel/tire combo to go with the TTOs are 15x8s, and not 100% on tire size, but am leaning towards 29” pie crust slicks.

Those skinny front runners look bad ***! Are The 29 inch cheater slicks going to fit? How wide are they going to be? Don't forget mixing bias Ply and radials is a no no!

My 64 with 15x7 rallies with 205/70r15.

So I decided I'm done with trying to fix these drum brakes on my 64 convertible and I'm upgrading to the pirate jack
5 on 4.5 bolt pattern disc brake kit with power assist duel master cylinder. So I'm ditching the 13" stock look and going 15" wheels. I was wondering what size 15" tires I'll need to fit on a stock height 64 Dart? Plus if anyone out there has an early A body with 15" wheels or mags please post some photos! I need some ideas on what wheels I want to get.

Thanks!

Paul
Keep in mind that the Pirate Jack kit if it uses 73+ spindles will push the track width out a bit. I did a similar swap using the Dr Diff kit and my taller tires rubbed on the front of the fender on my valiant. Had to swap to a shorter tire.

Yep. Mini tub and custom 4 link but mini tub and relocated springs will allow a 295.
Thank you the response. I’m headed the same way for my ‘64 Valiant. Link kit a custom setup or an off the shelf kit?

205-60R15 front with 73 up front discs. 245-60R15 rears with the Mopar 3/4" spring relocation ( which actually moves each side 1/2" in)

Looks good.

I currently have 215/60/15 all around but want to go taller than that for the rear. I’m wondering How much the stance would change by moving to 215/70/15 in the rear? That may not be enough.

215-60R15 will be 25.16" and 215-70R15 will be 26.86" so 1.7" difference. Less than 7/8" additional height on the car.

You are going to have to run the caster all the way back and 195/60 are as wide as you can go or the wheel will catch the lower front corner of the fender with disks and the 1” wider stance.

Heres my 66 B-Cuda. It rides on 15 inch Keystones, 15x8 in front, 15x9 in rear. big bolt patter all around, with 75 discs in front, 8 1/4 rear. Can't remember tire sizes, and its still in a winter ca coon.
I left the chrome trim on the sides off, as I don't like it.

65 on 15x8.5 centerlines and 235/60/15s, fits great with about a half inch clearance to fender and springs
