Anybody install tires with 16” rims on the rear/front of a 1964 barracuda. I’ve upgraded to a 8 3/4 rear BBP just trying to get an idea of the largest tire/rim combo. I don’t want to modify the wheel wells.

TIA

If you don’t already have 16’s, get 15’s or 17’s as there’s not a lot of high performance tires out there for 16’s. My car came with 16 X 8 so when looking for a 200 tread ware tire there’s not much available over 225..

I've run 16's before because I got a great deal on a set of wheels. The tire size you'll need for your combo is what it is. The wheel just dictates the hole in the tire and will get you the sidewall profile you want.

Summit racing has a great filter for tire size.

The rear is easy to figure, simple measuring. The front can be more challenging. I like to get the car to ride height and put it on 4 casters. Using a mounted tire with close to the height you'd want, take your measurements. They make tools for this, I've always just used a mounted tire.
