17x9 wheels/ 255 wheels...can they fit?

I found a deal on a tire wheel package:

The tires are 255/ 40-17's

The wheels are 17x9 with about 7" back space(5x4.5 BP)

I'm using an aftermarket rear suspension kit on the back, so I'm pretty sure the back will clear.

I'm concerned about the fronts. Would they work? Or, what changes would be needed to make them work?

Pretty sure 7" of BS will not work on a stock type suspension......or most any aftermarket fronts (MagFrc, RMS, etc..)

But, search around here...there's a couple threads on the subject of guys using a 9" rim on the front with a stock type frontend

I've seen 17x8's on the front of an A-body with 5.7" backspace, but I'm thinking 7" on a 17x9 will be too much. At the least, you'd need to run spacers in the front, probably around 1".

not sure what you mean by "aftermarket rear suspension kit", but with 17x8 wheels with 5.72 backspace, I needed a 3/4" spacer on the backs to clear the springs until I switched over to a B-body rear end. Even with a B rear end, 7" backspace won't work unless the springs are relocated. Not a chance on the fronts.

guys put 17x9s on the front of lil maverick, and it definatly looks like a mopar abody has lot more room..but i'm sure with 7in BS you;ll need to measure and get the correct spacers

get the spacers that bolt on and has its own studs..
