Tire sizing dilemma on my '70 Dart

-
There is a lot of variables when maximizing rear tire on a 70 Dart. I don't even think they're all the same and could vary a quarter of an inch from one to another. I know that my body is not perfectly centered on my tires it has about a half a centimeter to one side bias. But a 7 in rear rim with the right back spacing will give you the maximum tire spacing. I have run both seven and eight inch rims on the back and 8s will definitely spread the tire just enough to make a difference and rub sometimes with certain combinations where 7-in rim won't. It's also very important on the height of the tire taller profile will need you to set the car up higher on maximum tire width. I run a 275 50 15 on 8 in rims on mine with everything pretty maxed out. It takes a 3-inch leaf spring over Arch to accommodate. It's more of a street strip look and would probably rub with anything more than a child in the backseat.

I have not used the vender I posted above, but a few friends bought that tire and other than name look just like BFG. I go black wall out so would not matter. My tires age out before wear

It looks like I have a buyer for the 235s so it’s not going to be an expensive change of plans.

I ran 205/75 R14 Coopers on the front and 235/60 R14 Cooper Cobras on the rear of my 70 Dart for years without issues. I also ran 225/70 R14 on all 4 corners for a time, but the front tires would rub the frame on full turn. All on sbp rallyes.
My brother's 68 Dart GT has bbp 15 inch rallyes and 215/70 front and 255/60 rear BFG, previous owner did some minor clearance on the rear wheel openings, no contact issues.

These fit in the (modified) stock wheel well, with the right narrowed rear end and backspace
