Using the term "Wide Block" for the Poly 318's is and always has been incorrect. They are not "Big Blocks". There is actually very little difference in block size between them and the modern LA small block engine family: 273 318 340 360. The difference in width is merely created by the head design on the older Poly engines. :error:
