I think I know what I am going to have to do but:
Ref: I have a 1964 Dart GT V8 with original early 273 engine.

1) I have the 1964 Dodge dart factory service manual but it does not cover the 273 engine.
2) I also have a 1964 Service Reference Book that covers the 273 engine but is just tune up information.
It appears they never had the 273 covered in a factory service manual in 1964?

Since I have an original early 1964 engine I think my best option is to buy a 1965 Dart factory manual that does cover the early 273 in detail. That was also the early 273.

Am I missing a 1964 factory manual that does include the 273?
Thanks.

The specs are the same for the '65 model, so, unless you want a genuine '64 manual, there's no need to get one, if it's easier to get the later one.

Get a 65 manual. The manuals are printed early in the production year, even before release. The dealers need them when the new models show up. I had never heard that the 273 was released after the new model year was but it's entirely possible. They were available in the 64 barracuda's and that model wasn't released until later in the year. All the websites say April 1 1964.

Mymopar.com has verious service manuals free down load.

They don't have your year but the do have 66 Plymouth and they have 64 Chrysler / imperial. They might have 273 in it?
