Does anyone have a alternative method,of removeing the outer shell of the bushing on the lca other than the books way.??? a 1 3/8 tap is kinda spendy
Thanks Moe
I just bought the tap on e-bay last week. It showed a day after I got a customer's arms apart using the weld-in method. I have a round piece of steel that fits nicely. I weld it up and press the shell out. Then I cut the bushing off and go back at it. I haven't had a chance to try the tap yet, though.
The cheap way is to use a hammer and small chisel. Once you crack the shell it will come out pretty easily. Just clean up any scars you've make before you install the new bushing.
