1964 dodge dart Vibration

-
Tailshaft bushing worn out? I too have the mild vibration, and can push up and down on the driveshaft and get a tiny bit of play front and rear u-joint. I'll be replacing them for the hell of it when I am caught up replacing bent valves on my '04 Pacifica. :banghead:

here is a possibility the engine has been replaced with a 68 and up engine without installing a bushing in the rear of the crankshaft. 67 and prior torque converters have a smaller snout. These bushings are available from a number of sources such as torqueflite patty on ebay. I would exhaust all other possibilities first before pulling your engine or transmission to check for this. Is this a slant six car ?
you nailed it the motor is a later slant six and there was no adapter in the crank the head ache is now over thanks a bunch pal!!!!!

Great find. This is the type of subtle info that this site is great at relating. I bought the adapter from Charlie_S (or such) here. Same deal with the small block engines.
