Did you have the rear narrowed? Could the rear yoke be off centered to the center line of the output shaft of the trans.

How much is a lot of weight? Tires less than 10 years old? (Check date code)

Have your bubble balance efforts checked with a spin balance machine. They put the weight on the side it needs to go on versus just the top/outside for bubbles.

Yea if you shimed and it changed sounds like your pinion angle is wrong
Think its 15 degrees one each joint is optimal

Update from a while back. Added a 1/4” shim on the tail shaft. Not perfect but way better than it was.

1.5 down plus 3.5 down equals 5 degrees angle at the pinion. The angle increases on decel.
