1965 904 shifts into reverse and park at same time

1965 Barracuda with factory cable floor shifter was OK when I first bought the car, but now when I shift into reverse I can hear the parking sprag still clicking away sometimes, like something is out of adjustment. In addition, the gear indicator markings on the shifter no longer match exactly the gear that is engaged. Anybody know how/where to tune-up the adjustment? Thank you.

The cable ferule has an adjustment wheel on it at the trans end IIRC. The parking pawl is operated by a secondary cable so it may be some interference inside the shifter itself.

The two cables must be out of wack somehow, I will look into it.
